Fundamentals of Hand Tools for Women – Saturday and Sunday April18 and 19

This class is exactly like my usual Fundamentals of Hand Tools class, but for those who are more comfortable learning in an all women’s class.

The Fundamentals of Hand Tools course is appropriate for intermediate woodworkers. Beginner woodworkers will want to start with my Beginner’s class.

The mastery of traditional woodworking can set your work apart from the crowd.

In this day and age of chop saws, Domino joiners and Gorilla glue, intermediate through advanced woodworkers might have very little experience setting up and using hand tools.

In this class you will become familiar with the basic tools used by traditional jointers. We will explore the use of hand planes, chisels, backsaws and layout tools needed to cut traditional woodworking joints.

This 2 day class runs from 9-5 on both Saturday and Sunday.

The classes will be held at the Lunenburg Furniture Company, 15 Burma rd., in the heart of Lunenburg’s historic working waterfront.

Sharp tools, materials, coffee and snacks will be provided. Please bring your personal safety gear.
